The Huntington Fraternal Order of Police Goldstar Lodge 65 if hosting a fundraiser for officer Curt Nethercutt and his wife Dawn, who was recently diagnosed with cancer.  The event is this Friday August 11th from 6 to 8 p.m.  It will be at the Big Green Room at the Joan C. Edwards Stadium.  We will be having a live auction of football memorabilia from NFL players who formerly played for MU, and other items donated by local businesses for the auction.  Food is being provided by Kroger's #788 in Barboursville, along with Budweiser and Pepsi products.  A $100 donation admits 2 people.

Tickets will be available at the door or through the week at the Huntington Police Department.

Curt Nethercutt played football for MU from "89 to "93, played on the 1992 1AA championship team, and has been a Huntington Police officer for 9 years.

He met his wife Dawn at a Marshall football banquet.  They have 3 children.

This is probably more information than you need, but if you can give us a plug in your entertainment column before the event this Friday, I'd really appreciate it.  If you have any questions please call me at 696-4470.  I work 8 to 4, M - F.
