Hello everyone,

 

I just wanted to get a note out to the Atlanta club to let you know of upcoming events in 2010.

 

Our first event will be next Friday, March 5, 2010 at Fernbank Museum for Martinis and IMAX.  We did this about 2 years ago and it was a popular event.  Those people who participated really enjoyed it and we thought we would bring it back into the schedule.  Thanks to Angie Daugherty for organizing it.  There is a $7.00 cover charge to get in.  If you want to see the IMAX movie, the cost is $12.00.  There is a cash bar and they have a variety of dinner items on their menu.  (Note:  the last time I attended Martinis and IMAX, there is no cover charge if you arrive early......I think the cutoff is 6:00, but can't say for certain.)

 

Our next event is scheduled for Saturday, March 27.  We haven't finalized the details of the event, but the current plan is a dinner at Mary Mac's starting at 6:00pm.  I'll send details once they are finalized.

 

The annual golf tournament is scheduled for May 22 at Canongate.  Details will be sent later.

 

The West Virginia Day picnic is scheduled for June 19 at Terrill Mill Park in Marietta.  We plan to have a catered meal from Sonny's B B Q again this year.  Details will be sent later.

 

For July, we hope to have a MUAA Atlanta Chapter day at a Gwinnett Braves game.  We don't have a date set as yet.

 

I hope everyone is staying warm.  I'm looking forward to some sunny days ahead as spring gets here........just hope it happens soon!  In the meantime, I hope to see a bunch of you at Martinis and IMAX next Friday!
